Wore Sansha Ovations 8W for class today... my feet ARE swimming in them! I think they're too wide (I've worn both 8M and 8W). My big toe on the left foot knuckles - I think I will have to tape it.

Anyway, class was okay. Dir 1 told me that I should take partnering class. I just nodded, knowing full well that I'm not going to. I'm taking that time to work on my variations. I think that is much more important than partnering, considering I rarely get partnering parts and when I do, they are very basic and need little work. Maybe after Nutcracker is done.... (yeah, right).

I'm very dour in class these days. As I've mentioned, my friends have left. And my fav teacher is gone. CM has re-emerged as the presumptive star. Everything just feels disconnected.

I didn't run through my variations today - we had to line up by height for casting purposes with all the little kids. It's pointless for me because my casting up until early spring is already determined. And then I had a costume fitting for my plum costume. I've worn the costume before, but there were two plums in between (all of a sudden, I feel like Grover Cleveland), and so there are like 3 sets of hooks and eyes. Some of them work for me, so they're just going to remove the unnecessary hooks and eyes.

I did feel good about getting through class with my pointe shoes, even though I wanted to take them off... so that's a yay!
